Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) serves as a platform for discussion, exchange and collaboration at a regional level, and also where possible to aggregate national IGF discussions, ultimately to advance the Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region.

The first APrIGF was convened in Hongkong, SAR China with objectives to raise awareness and encourage participation from relevant stakeholders around the region on Internet governance issues, as well as to foster multi-lateral, multi-stakeholder discussion about issues pertinent to the Internet in Asia.

Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) 2020 will be hosted at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel from 26-29 May 2020. Internet Governance Institute is the Lead Host and the Internet Society Nepal, Internet Exchange Nepal and Nepal Internet Foundations are the Hosts of the event.
