AHM Bazlur Rahman of Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) undertook five days visit to United Nations HQ, New York, USA from 25 to 29 July 2022 for participating in the third substantive session of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) on security of and in the use of information and communications technologies 2021-2025
During the visit, AHM Bazlur Rahman today met with H E Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, Under-Secretary-General Envoy on Technology on 28 July at the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology (27 Floor) of United Nations HQ.
In the meeting, they discussed the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology intervention and the Global Digital Compact. AHM Bazlur Rahman has a brief Bangladesh-level micro and macro-level intervention in line with the community radio broadcasting, meaningful access to the Internet and ICT for Development in line with Internet Governance.
Ms. Fan Zhang, Associate Program Management Officer of the Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Technology was present at the meeting. H E Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, Under-Secretary-General Envoy on Technology apprised the visiting AHM Bazlur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of the initiatives taken by the Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication.
