Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) @ 2nd National Conference on SDGs Implementation Review (SIR) 2022

The General Economic Division (GED) of the Bangladesh Planning Commission & Governance Innovation Unit (GIU) of the Prime Minister’s office are jointly going to organize the three days 2nd National Conference on SDGs Implementation Review (SIR) 2022 from 16-18 May 2022 at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) Dhaka, Bangladesh.

H E Sheikh Hasina, MP Hon’ble Prime Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh will inaugurate the conference as Chief Guest.

The main objectives of the conference are to review the policy action and activities taken in the last six years to implement SDGs and guide to further strengthen Bangladesh’s effort to achieve the Global 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development at the national as well as local levels.

The conference will give a strategic direction on how to proceed in implementing the 8th Five Year Plan which is fully aligned with the SDGs and help to finalize the SDGs progress Report 2022

Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) will participate in the 2nd National Conference on SDGs Implementation Review (SIR) with the 12 members delegation of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The delegation will lead by Mr Md. Mokbul Hossain PAA, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) has been starting a systematic SDGs localization process for supporting community people to achieve the SDGs through media mobilization and Community Radio Broadcasting since 2016. Recently BNNRC has completed a project about Connecting and Empowering Voices for a Just, Inclusive and Peaceful Society with the support from Switzerland.

The project goal is to enable the Environment to fight against poverty and injustice to contribute to sustainable inclusive development through SDG:16
