Workshop on BNNRC Strategic Plan: Shaping the Future of BNNRC in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution 2020- 2025| 10-13 October 2019 Dhaka| Bangladesh

A four-day long (10-13 October 2019) Workshop on strategic plan of BNNRC for its future direction, in the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution 2020-2015 has started in Dhaka at YWCA Training Room, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

The main purpose of the workshop is to develop a framework for BNNRC, which will guide the management and staff for getting an appropriate strategic future direction of the organization in the era of Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The workshop was organized by Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) with the support from Free Press Unlimited, The Netherlands.

BNNRC’s Staff member participated in the Workshop. Syed Tamjid Ur Rahman, Vice President– Bangladesh Center for Fourth Industrial Revolution, Ambassador Energy Globe and Vice President UN Global Compact Bangladesh and Syed Zain Al Mahmood, Journalist and Media Development Expert facilitates the sessions. AHM Bazlur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer, BNNRC welcomed the participants and highlighted background of the workshop in the inaugural session.

The discussion issues of the workshop are International and Regional Media Development Scenario: Agenda for BNNRC, Technological disruption agenda for BNNRC, Developing Strategic Goals and Objectives, Staff Skills and Capacity and Reskilling needs, M&E and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) plan Digital Marketing Trends in Bangladesh, Introduction to Strategic Plan and Theory of Change (TOC), Plan of Action: Choosing Strategy Action to Reach Each Goal, Presenting the Workshop findings to the BNNRC Board of Trustee, M&E and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) plan, Timeline and History of BNNRC from 2000-2019, SWOT (ACTION) analysis/ PEST analysis, Results Chain and Logic Change, No News Is Bad News: Exercise and Discussion, Introduction to Sectoral and Stakeholder Context, Institutional Governance and Organizational Operational Framework, Organogram of core and project staff.

BNNRC’s approach to media development is both knowledge-driven and context-sensitive, and it takes into account the challenges and opportunities created by the rapidly changing media environment in Bangladesh including community radio development giving voices for the voiceless from 2000.
